Can the Business Entity Designer be used to design Business Tasks?

The Business Entity Designer does not have specific features to generate Business Tasks nor do we provide a generator for Business Tasks.

The Business Entity Designer can be used to design a ProDataset and it's member temp-tables. As the generation of the resulting Business Entity can be turned off, this can be used to design data structures for specific Business Tasks which do not inherit the ProDataset schema from a Business Entity.

The generation of the Business Entity, Data Access class and the Dataset Controller can be turned off on Generate Tab of the Entity Properties view.

Turning of the generation of the actual Business Entity in the Entity Properties

The Business Entity Designer is capable of designing a single ProDataset per .bedgm file. For complex Business Tasks it may be required to open multiple .begdm files.
