01. Installing the Business Entity Designer

To install the Business Entity Designer extract the contents of the provided ZIP file to a local folder. This directory will be referred to as the installation folder of the Business Entity Designer. It is your decision if this folder will be part of your own code base or will be kept external.

The Business Entity Designer deployment does also contain the OERA backend which provides the code foundation for the generated business entities. All folders from the shipment of the Business Entity Designer except the Consultingwerk\BusinessEntityDesigner and the Consultingwerk\SmartComponents and the Consultingwerk\Windows folder are mandatory parts of the customers projects that execute the Business Entities generates by the Business Entity Designer (e.g. on the Progress AppServer).
